Biographical Information
I am a postdoctoral researcher at UKP. I've received my PhD and Bachelor degrees from Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) Computer Engineering department and my MSc. from Electronics Engineering Program at Sabanci University. I was involved in several TUBITAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) and DPT (Turkish Ministry of State Planning and Organization) projects (mostly) on machine translation and semantic role labeling. Meanwhile, I helped banks to extract transaction relations e.g., sender, receiver, amount from noisy documents. Until recently, I used to work as a research engineer in PragmaCraft on the projects: Intelligent Search Assistant (ISA), Deep learning based NLP Pipeline and domain-specific neural machine translation. I also (a long time ago) worked as a software engineer at Siemens. Recently, I was a visiting researcher at Institute for Language, Logic and Computation (ILCC), University of Edinburgh.
