B6 | Subproject B6: Technologies of surface modification of bifurcated profiles

Subproject B6 evaluates the potential of surface modifications to enhance the fatigue- and wear properties of linear flow split profiles. These bifurcated profiles exhibit an UFG microstructure in the surface area. Yet the influence of surface treatments on UFG microstructures and their correlated properties is widely unknown. Thus the research focus within this subproject is its clarification.
