C1 | Subproject C1: Microstructure and mechanical properties of bifurcated sheet profiles

In the second application phase the production of bifurcated profiles is extended by the processes of linear bend splitting and flexible linear flow splitting. Furthermore, subsequent deformation of bifurcated profiles will be conducted via deep drawing. The Subproject C1 concentrates on the characterization of the microstructure and mechanical properties of the profiles and their evolution during the forming processes. The results are utilized for the optimization of the forming processes and are integrated into product development and evaluation.
